Your baseline bloodwork is a short, standard list you arrange with your own GP. Anything after that is recommended on a program. Every result is read as part of the whole picture.

A number on its own tells you very little. It has to be read against your history, your goals and how you actually feel. So the order matters. You arrange a standard blood test with your own GP before your first consultation. Anything further is recommended by your clinician once you are on a program, and only where it changes what they would do.
Your baseline bloodwork
Before your first consultation, you arrange a standard blood test with your own GP. It is a short, fixed list, and we tell you exactly what to ask for. You deal with your GP and the laboratory directly, and those costs sit outside your program fee. Your GP will advise what is covered. If you have had these done in the last six months, bring the results and you are ready to go.

Results up to twelve months old can usually be used. If yours are older than that, or you do not have any, a short follow-up consultation is arranged before a program starts. That consultation is charged separately and the fee is shown to you before you book.
Further testing, on a program
Once you are on a program, your clinician may recommend further testing where it changes what they would do. Primaera arranges it for you and bills you for it. The cost is always shown to you before anything is ordered. It is never routine, and it is not a starting point.

Results are reviewed with you in a live consultation. They are weighed alongside everything else your clinician knows about you, so a number never sits on its own.

Where pharmacogenomic testing is used, the specific medications it may
relate to are discussed directly with enrolled clients and the
prescriber, and are not listed publicly. Your baseline bloodwork is paid
to your GP and the laboratory, and Primaera receives no part of it.
Where a medicine is prepared for you individually, you pay the pharmacy
directly, and Primaera receives no fee connected to it. Further testing
arranged as part of your program is billed by Primaera, and the cost is
shown to you before anything is ordered. On Advanced and Signature,
results review is included in your monthly fee. On Foundation, a
separate review fee applies where your clinician reviews and interprets
results, and is shown to you before you book.
Telehealth is not suitable for all health concerns. Your practitioner may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, GP review, a referral to another practitioner, further investigation or no treatment depending on your circumstances. Individual results vary based on your unique biology and commitment to the program. Assessment findings do not guarantee a particular outcome.

Yes. A current blood test is needed before your first consultation. Current means within the last six months, and results up to twelve months old can usually be used. You can start the online assessment at any time. If you do not have a recent result, we arrange a short follow-up consultation to sort it out before a program starts.
